About the estate

The Bodegas y Viñedos Castroventosa, S.L. winery located in Valtuille de Abajo in the Castilla y León region has been run by the Pérez family since the 18th century. As early as 1752, ancestors of the family were registered as winegrowers in Valtuille, cultivating plots that are part of the estate today. The name derives from the Roman site Castro de la Ventosa, at the foot of which the bodega is situated. Nine generations look back on a long tradition and own all of their vineyards. The old Mencia vines are over 85 years old and reflect the specific terroir of their origin.
