About the estate
The Bíbor Birtok estate was founded in 2002 in Siklós, located in the Villány wine region of Hungary. The winery follows a low-intervention approach in both the vineyard and the cellar to produce balanced and authentic wines. The vines grow on unique limestone-loess and brown forest soils that, combined with the local Mediterranean climate, provide ideal conditions for grape maturation. The portfolio features classic varieties such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Kékfrankos, alongside rarer specialties like Kadarka, Riesling, Jázmin, and Borsmenta. Production deliberately focuses on limited quantities and distinct character rather than mass market volumes.
