About the estate
The Mokos Pincészet estate farms 17 hectares of vineyards in Palkonya within the Villány wine region, where the family has been active for three generations. On loess and red clay soils under a sub-Mediterranean climate, both domestic and international grape varieties such as Portugieser, Kékfrankos, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon are cultivated. The production ranges from light white wines to full-bodied red wines, alongside premium fruit wines made exclusively from domestic fruit. Maturation takes place in modern stainless steel tanks as well as in wooden barrels of 225, 300, and 500 liters.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from meggy and cseresznye. The estate sells to distributors and retail.
