About the estate
The traditional family winery Baumgartner cultivates vineyards in the sites of Herzogenburg in the Traisental region. Viticulture at the estate has been documented since before 1710, and today the operations are managed across generations by Josef Baumgartner with a focus on sustainability. The diverse soils consisting of clay, loess, and gravel provide varied conditions for the vines. Grüner Veltliner is the most prominent variety in the portfolio, accompanied by Pinot varieties, Riesling, Sauvignon blanc, Muskateller, Rivaner, and Frühroter Veltliner. Modern technology is combined with traditional expertise to produce quality wines true to the region and grape variety.
