About the estate
The Babus gvino winery was founded by childhood friends based in Tbilisi and Berlin, sharing a vision to merge ancient winemaking culture with modern technology. Their philosophy combines traditional methods, such as fermentation and aging in qvevris, with contemporary techniques. The grapes are sourced from the Kakheti region in Georgia and are organically cultivated in Nekresi. The estate specializes in producing natural orange wines that reflect the heritage of traditional practices. Particular emphasis is placed on sustainable viticulture, maintaining a delicate balance between the vineyard and its ecosystem.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Kakhuri Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli. Export markets include Austria, Belgium, Croatia and Czechia.
