About the estate
The Avignonesi estate was founded in Montepulciano in the 1970s and is owned today by the Saverys family. It extends over more than 300 hectares of vineyards between Montepulciano and Cortona, which are cultivated entirely according to organic and biodynamic principles. Vinification takes place at the Lodola cellar, where each parcel is fermented separately to preserve its individual character. The production includes wines from the Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, Toscana IGT, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG denominations. Depending on the wine, the ageing process utilizes amphorae, stainless steel tanks, concrete eggs, barriques, large casks, and caratelli.
The eno directory lists 14 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Merlot.
