About the estate

The Tenuta Valdipiatta estate is located in Montepulciano between the Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia valleys and is among the historic producers of Vino Nobile. Founded in the 1960s, the winery was acquired in the 1980s by Giulio Caporali as the realization of his dream to live in the Tuscan countryside. Since 2002, the family estate has been managed by Miriam Caporali, who followed in her father's footsteps after completing her economics studies in Rome and oenological training in Bordeaux. The estate encompasses 22 hectares of vineyards situated between 300 and 350 meters above sea level in the heart of the Montepulciano territory. The winemaking focuses on the Sangiovese variety, whose fine and elegant characteristics are further enhanced through aging in oak barrels.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Sangiovese and Canaiolo Nero. Export markets include Austria, Belgium, France and Germany.
