About the estate
The ASL Tomé winery was founded in 1953 in Pinhal Novo by Américo de Sousa Lopes Tomé following his marriage to Angelina, uniting their respective family vineyards. Today, the estate located in the Península de Setúbal wine region is managed by the fourth generation, combining traditional methods with modern production techniques. The estate's vineyards situated in the Pinhal Novo area cultivate indigenous grape varieties such as Castelão, Fernão Pires, and Moscatel alongside international varieties including Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Franca, and Aragonez. The production portfolio features both wood-aged wines and unoaked styles. Furthermore, Quinta da Cascalheira hosts enotourism activities featuring a wine bar and an art gallery.
