About the estate
The Armilla estate is a small family winery in Tavernelle on the sunny and windy southwestern slope of Montalcino, established in 1980. The vineyards are situated at altitudes between 320 and 350 meters on soils rich in galestro, where Sangiovese is primarily cultivated. Vineyard management relies almost entirely on manual labor with careful pruning and controlled yields. Vinification in the deliberately small cellar is kept essential, featuring long macerations and aging in large oak casks. The portfolio includes Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
