About the estate

The Antico Palmento estate was founded in 2006 by Bruno Garofano and his three children in the center of Manduria in the Apulia region. The history of the winery began in 1998 with the acquisition of a historic palmento, followed by the purchase of old Primitivo vineyards trained using the traditional alberello pugliese system. Following a conservative restoration of the cellars in 2001, the harvest is carried out manually. The production philosophy relies on minimal and targeted interventions in both the vineyard and the cellar to produce authentic wines in limited quantities. The main focus is on native grape varieties, particularly the Primitivo vine characteristic of this area.
