About the estate
The Vinicola Savese estate in Sava looks back on a long history founded in the early 20th century by Gaetano and continued through four generations of the Pichierri family. Located on clay-limestone soils within the Primitivo di Manduria DOC production area, the winery is dedicated to the traditional crafting of dry and naturally sweet wines. Vineyard management is carried out manually with rigorous selection, green pruning, and minimal intervention. In the cellar, the winery utilizes underground glass-lined concrete vats for natural temperature control, autochthonous yeasts, and traditional capasoni vessels. Specializing in Primitivo, artisanal methods and the preservation of regional traditions define the philosophy of the estate.
