The Antico Frantoio sas di Murgia Antonella & c. estate is situated in the Belìce valley in Sambuca di Sicilia and builds upon a family tradition initiated by grandfather Nicolò. Today, the winery is run by Salvatore Lamanno, Antonella Murgia, and their children, cultivating twenty-two hectares of vineyards using modern winemaking techniques. The grape varieties grown include red varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Nerello Mascalese, alongside white varieties like Moscato, Catarratto, Chardonnay, and Viognier. The operation increasingly focuses on organic production methods to craft authentic wines and oils tied to their origin, while also utilizing photovoltaic energy for environmental protection.
