About the estate

The Ancilla estate was founded by the grandmother of the current owner, who acquired two estates together with her daughter in the mid-1970s. Today, a total of 23 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in the areas of Lugana di Sirmione and Villafranca di Verona. The vineyards feature the Turbiana variety for Lugana DOC as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Nero for sparkling and still white wines. Vineyard management follows traditional methods including integrated pest management. The vinification and aging in the cellar are carried out separately based on the different vineyard plots and the age of the vines.
