About the estate
The A Cova da Xabreira estate was founded in 2010 by Simón Val in Seadur within the heart of Valdeorras to preserve family roots and local wine culture. The winery currently manages six hectares of vineyards situated at an average altitude of 500 meters, with some vines exceeding 50 years of age. The principal grape variety is Godello, complemented by native red varieties such as Brancellao, Merenzao, and Mouratón. Vinification takes place in the modern Adega Nova facility, while traditional rock cellars are utilized for tastings and gastronomic offerings. All wines are crafted exclusively from estate-grown grapes utilizing eco-friendly farming practices.
