About the estate
The family estate Adega Melillas e Fillos is located in A Rúa within Valdeorras and began its journey in 2002 through the restoration of a historic 17th-century building. Managed by the third generation, the winery cultivates around five hectares of vineyards planted on slate soils in small plots. The cultivated grape varieties include indigenous regional vines such as Godello, Mencía, Merenzao, Garnacha Tintorera, and Tempranillo. The production approach combines traditional viticulture with modern technologies and the use of an ancient underground cellar. The estate commercializes its products exclusively from its own grapes under the Lagar do Cigur brand.
