About the estate

The 13 Viñas winery was founded in 2015 by Julio Calvo and Jesús Alcaide in Cubillos del Sil in the heart of Bierzo to preserve family heritage and abandoned vineyards. The project arose from the desire to revive small plots, some featuring century-old vines, and to protect the memory of past generations. The estate works respectfully, artisanally, and with minimal intervention to express the origin and history of the region in its wines. The portfolio includes various artisanally produced wines such as the white wine Babú, the young red wine Mingus, the clarete Jonas, and the crianza wines Alto de la Judiega and A Ponte Vella.
