L'azienda Bardar è stata fondata nel 1929 da un imprenditore tedesco di nome Miller come piccola distilleria e vanta una storia di quasi 100 anni. La distilleria fa parte del Purcari Wineries Group e si trova vicino a Chișinău nella regione IG Divin. Per la produzione dei distillati vengono impiegati prevalentemente vitigni a bacca bianca come Aligote, Rkatsiteli e Sauvignon. La distillazione avviene tramite metodi continui utilizzando impianti moderni in un regime termico controllato. Successivamente, i distillati affinano in botti di rovere di alta qualità, sviluppando così il loro profilo aromatico caratteristico.
