Das Unternehmen Bardar wurde im Jahr 1929 von einem deutschen Unternehmer namens Miller als kleine Distillerie gegründet und blickt auf eine fast 100-jährige Erfahrung zurück. Die Destillerie gehört zum Grupo de Vinării Purcari und befindet sich unweit von Chișinău in der Region IG Divin. Für die Herstellung der Getränke werden überwiegend weiße Rebsorten wie Aligote, Rkatsiteli und Sauvignon verarbeitet. Die Destillation erfolgt durch kontinuierliche Verfahren mit modernen Anlagen in einem kontrollierten Temperaturregime. Anschließend reifen die Destillate in hochwertigen Eichenfässern, wo sie ihren charakteristischen Geschmack entwickeln.
Im eno-Verzeichnis sind 18 Weine erfasst. Exportiert wird unter anderem nach Rumänien.
