About the estate

The Zierer estate in Gumpoldskirchen is managed by the siblings Harald and Klaudia Zierer. Harald Zierer took over management in 1989 after graduating from HBLVA Klosterneuburg and is responsible for the vineyards and vinification. In addition to traditional maturation in steel tanks, the winery implemented vinification in oak barrels at an early stage and expanded the formerly white-wine-focused operation with red varieties such as Merlot, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. The family business also includes a Heuriger establishment in Baden run by Klaudia Zierer.
