About the estate

The Wilhelm Walch winery was founded in 1869 in the historic wine village of Tramin in South Tyrol and has since remained in the hands of the founding family, who currently manage the estate in its fifth generation. The vineyards extend along the Mendola Ridge at altitudes between 250 and 700 meters on calcareous soils shaped by dolomite rock, alongside sandy and clayey plots. Farming follows sustainable guidelines for environmentally conscious viticulture, centered on manual vineyard care and careful hand-harvesting. The portfolio features local grape varieties as well as international cultivars, crafted into wines with a modern and straightforward profile.
