About the estate

The Wijndomein De Koen estate is located in Zuid-Scharwoude in the Noord-Holland region, where grapes are grown on land that was previously used for agriculture. Harvesting is done manually by volunteers, and the vinification takes place entirely at the winery. During processing, the red wines are usually placed directly on the yeast, while the must for the white wines is cooled and remains on the skins before pressing, depending on the quality of the fruit.
