About the estate
The Wijngaard Zonnestraal estate is located in Loosdrecht, Netherlands, on the historic Landgoed Zonnestraal, where the first vines were planted in 2013. Following a takeover by several entrepreneurs in 2020, the winery currently manages a vineyard area of 0.7 hectares. Fungus-resistant PiWi varieties such as Johanniter, Solaris, Souvignier Gris, Cabaret Noir, and Pinot Noir are cultivated on humus-rich sandy soils. These modern crossings are adapted to the cooler northern climate and require less crop protection. The portfolio includes versatile white and red wines as well as interesting blends created with classic grape varieties.
