About the estate

The Weingut Wiedemann estate in Sasbach am Kaiserstuhl is run as a family business in the fifth generation and looks back on a hundred-year history at the Eichert local mountain. The steep slopes on weathered volcanic rock provide a unique terroir for characterful wines. The portfolio includes Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon among others. Jörg Wiedemann manages the vinification in the cellar, while Nico Wiedemann contributes fresh perspectives. The management of the vineyards is kept natural, utilizing sheep for landscape maintenance among other practices.
