About the estate
The Weingut Vollmayer estate in Hilzingen is family-run and cultivates organic character wines at the foot of the Hohentwiel in Germany. In 1928, the cultivation of the steep slopes began, which today house the Elisabethenberg monopoly site as the highest vineyard in Germany. The vineyards extend over weathered volcanic soils within a unique microclimate situated right in the middle of a nature reserve. The winery works consistently according to organic guidelines and relies on gentle grape processing and maturation in oak barrels. All wines are produced in harmony with nature and are entirely vegan.
The eno directory lists 18 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to horeca.
