About the estate

The Tenuta Rohregger estate is a small family-run winery located in Kaltern in South Tyrol, managed by Stephan and Tanja Rohregger. The vineyards are spread across two distinct sites, including the home vineyard in Pianizza di Sotto at 440 meters above sea level and a second plot in Graun above Kurtatsch in the Bassa Atesina. On calcareous and gravelly moraine soils, the estate cultivates grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Schiava for Kalterersee Classico. Focusing on close cooperation with nature, the winery relies on careful manual labor, low yields achieved through targeted reduction, and the use of purely natural treatments against pests. The winemaking approach emphasizes respect for the natural environment and patient aging in barrels.
