About the estate
The Schneiders-Moritz estate in Pommern on the Moselle dates back to 1986, when the parental farms Hermann Schneiders and Fuchs-Moritz were merged. Today, the winery is jointly run by Hildegard Moritz and her son Kilian. Cultivation focuses primarily on Riesling, complemented by Pinot varieties, Gewürztraminer, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. A particular treasure is an ungrafted Riesling vineyard in the Pommerner Rosenberg site dating back to 1860, situated in steep terraced slopes. The work combines traditional manual labor along the terraced Moselle with continuous innovation in both the vineyard and the cellar.
