About the estate
The Weingut Reuscher-Haart estate is a traditional winery based in Piesport in the heart of the Mosel, with a history stretching back centuries. The current name originated in 1919 through the marriage of Elisabeth Haart and Matthias Reuscher, whose joint coat of arms still represents the wines and sparkling wines today. In 2006, Mario Schwang took over the estate from his parents, after his father had previously systematically aligned the winery with ecological principles. Out of conviction, the focus is entirely on the Riesling grape variety, which thrives in the best sites of Piesport. The vineyards are located in sites such as Goldtröpfchen, Piesporter Domherr, Piesporter Falkenberg, as well as Treppchen, Grafenberg, and Günterslay.
