About the estate

The Peter Kriechel estate was founded in 1952 by Peter Kriechel Senior as an independent winery and is managed today by the third and fourth generations as a family business. Covering 28 hectares of vineyards in the Ahr region, the winery focuses on near-natural cultivation with organic fertilization and selective manual harvesting. The vineyards are tended according to state-of-the-art methods, including cluster thinning in most parcels to enhance quality. Regional ties are further emphasized in the cellar through the use of casks made from local Ahr oak.
