About the estate

The Meyer-Näkel estate manages vineyards in the Ahr region and looks back on a traditional history shaped by four generations. The focus of the work is on the Pinot Noir variety, which thrives on steep sites such as Sonnenberg, Pfarrwingert, Silberberg, and Kräuterberg. The soils of the region are primarily characterized by greywacke, slate, loess, and loam, which give the wines their characteristic expression. The local climate and the orientation of the plots provide optimal conditions for the cultivation of high-quality red wines.
