About the estate

The Weingut Max Schell estate cultivates steeply rising vineyards in the Ahr wine region, characterized by slate-rich soils and an exceptional microclimate. The winery is managed in the third generation and looks back on a long-standing family tradition in viticulture. Pinot Noir, Early Pinot Noir, Portugieser, and Riesling thrive in these steep sites. The working method is defined by environmentally conscious cultivation, careful handling of the harvested grapes, and traditional values combined with modern cellar technology.
