About the estate

The Lidy estate is run by the family in the fourth generation and cultivates 22 hectares of vineyards in Frankweiler in the Palatinate region. During the cultivation of the vineyards, the winery completely refrains from using herbicides and chemical fertilizers in order to maintain a natural soil structure. The soils consisting of yellow sandstone, blue keuper, and a high proportion of limestone provide optimal conditions for characterful wines. The vinification takes place in harmony with nature with a focus on origin and typicity, divided into a four-stage quality system ranging from basic wines to single-vineyard wines.
