About the estate

The K-J Thul estate in Thörnich on the Moselle looks back on a long family tradition and cultivates around ten hectares of vineyards in Thörnich, Detzem and Riol. The focus of the work lies on the steep slate slopes of the Thörnicher Ritsch, which give the wines grown there their characteristic expression. Riesling accounts for the largest share of the vineyard area, complemented by other white grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc and Müller Thurgau as well as red varieties like Pinot Noir, Regent and Dornfelder. Following comprehensive training, Karl-Josef Thul oversees the cultivation and vinification of the wines with the aim of highlighting the authenticity of each individual site.
