About the estate

The Weingut Josef Rosch estate is based in Leiwen along the Moselle river and cultivates vineyards in several renowned sites of the region. The locations include the Leiwener Klostergarten, the Klüsserather Bruderschaft, the Leiwener Laurentiuslay as well as parcels in the Trittenheimer Apotheke, the Dhroner Hofberg, and the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen. The steep slate soils of these sites shape the character of the wines, with a primary focus on Riesling produced in various quality levels and styles ranging from dry to fruity. The wines reflect the mineral diversity of the distinct slate soils.
