About the estate
The traditional family-run J. Hofstätter estate is managed today by Martin and Beatrix Foradori Hofstätter alongside the next generation. The history of the winery dates back to the nineteenth century, and the estate was a pioneer for single-vineyard classification in South Tyrol. Today, the family cultivates vineyards in three different regions: on both sides of the South Tyrolean lowlands, in Trentino, and on the Moselle. In the vineyard, the estate relies on gentle pruning and cover cropping, while the cellar utilizes traditional wooden casks, concrete vats, and modern technology. The consistent vinification of single-vineyard wines produces authentic expressions that reflect the character of their respective origins.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Blanc.
