About the estate
The Weingut Heinrich-Josef Zahn estate looks back on an uninterrupted winemaking tradition maintained within the family since 1545 and passed down through generations. Today, the winery in Heilbronn is managed by the brothers Björn and Tobias Heinrich, following the development work of Martin Heinrich. Across 15 hectares of vineyards, exclusively native grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Lemberger are cultivated. The estate operates with a strong focus on organic and sustainable practices, which includes avoiding synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides alongside practicing 100 percent hand-harvesting. Traditional winemaking methods yield delicate, origin-focused natural products that are released to the market only after extended barrel and bottle maturation.
