About the estate

The Weingut Gebr. Hanke GbR is the northernmost quality wine estate in Saxony, located in the Jessen region. The family has been growing wine for several generations and revived the local wine-growing tradition by formally establishing the estate in 1994. Viticulture takes place on the Gorrenberg vineyard site, where a total of eight white and five red grape varieties are cultivated across 17 hectares of vineyards. The portfolio features popular German wines such as aromatic Kerner and delicate Pinot Meunier, alongside traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wine. The estate manages the vineyards independently and handles all steps from vinification to bottling in-house.
