About the estate

The Matyas winery is a family business founded in 2000 by Ingeborg and Matyas Probocskai in Coswig. The vineyards are located amidst nature at the foot of the Friedewald along the Saxon Wine Route on the protected valley slopes of the Elbe. There, hearty, fruity wines with a region-typical acidity thrive on rapidly warming granite and syenite weathered soils. The local microclimate provides ideal conditions for cultivating top wines in the Saxony region. Visitors can enjoy professional wine tastings as well as seasonal hospitality in the estate's own tavern.
