About the estate
The Weingut Fries estate in Löf on the Mosel looks back on a family tradition originating in 1834. In 1990, Bernd Fries took over the operation and gradually expanded the vineyard area in the steep sites of the terraced Mosel region. Today, son Andreas continues the family tradition following his training as a winemaker. The core focus of the work lies on the fascination with Riesling and the cultivation of steep vineyard terraces on slate soils. The wines are crafted through traditional knowledge, modern handcraft, and minimal cellar intervention.
