About the estate
The Ernst Minges estate manages 23.5 hectares of vineyards located along the Haardt mountains on the Southern Wine Route in Edesheim, Edenkoben, Rhodt, and Walsheim. The soils of the region are mineral-rich and shaped by an almost Mediterranean climate where varieties such as Riesling, Pinot varieties, Silvaner, and Gewürztraminer thrive. The winery operates using a controlled, environmentally conscious approach and places great emphasis on manual labor and intensive vineyard care. Following gentle pressing and controlled fermentation, the wines mature individually in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels. Knowledge and experience are passed down through generations.
