About the estate

The family-run Weingut Dietmar Ziegler estate in Rheinhessen has been cultivating 19 hectares of vineyards in the fifth and sixth generation since 1880. The vines grow on mineral-rich limestone soils as well as warm loam-loess soils across the areas of Dalsheim, Gundheim, Gundersheim, Hangen-Weisheim and Westhofen. The winery cultivates over 20 different grape varieties, encompassing both traditional varieties and international options such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Sauvignon blanc. Another specialty of the estate is the production of sparkling wines using the champagne method. In the cellar, the winery combines state-of-the-art technology with traditional methods to produce harmonious wines.
