About the estate

The Christophorus-Hof estate is located in the historic center of Mainz-Hechtsheim and looks back on a family winemaking tradition documented back to 1654. Today, the winery cultivates 7.5 hectares of vineyards situated along the Rhine front south of Mainz. The cultivated grape varieties include traditional white varieties such as Riesling, Silvaner, and Rivaner, alongside international varieties like Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris, as well as the red varieties Portugieser, Dornfelder, and Pinot Noir. Responsibility for vineyard management and modern cellar technology lies with state-certified viticulture technician Simone Schmitt-Rieth.
