About the estate
The Bürgermeister Carl Koch estate in Oppenheim looks back on a history that began in 1833 and has been family-run for seven generations. The winery farms twelve hectares of vineyards in hillside locations above Oppenheim and Dienheim, including historic grand cru sites. Since 2010, the vineyards have been managed according to organic farming practices. The management relies on a philosophy of consistent restraint during vinification to preserve the character of the origin.
