About the estate
The Bertram-Baltes estate, located in Dernau in the Ahr region, was founded by Gottfried Sebastian on Hardtbergstraße. After being run in the fourth generation by his daughters, Julia Bertram took over the family business as the fifth generation. Following her studies in Geisenheim and her tenure as German Wine Princess, she joined forces with winemaker Benedikt Baltes, who returned home to the Ahr from Klingenberg. Today, Julia and Benedikt jointly manage the merged family estates and have converted the entire operation to organic viticulture.
