About the estate

The Weingut A. Gessinger estate is a traditional family winery located in Zeltingen in the Middle Mosel region, managed by the family for ten generations. Winemaker Alfred Gessinger and his daughter Sarah contribute decades of experience and a deep connection to their homeland to the winemaking process. The vineyard holdings are situated exclusively in the steep slate sites of Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, Zeltinger Schlossberg, and Zeltinger Himmelreich. Riesling and Pinot Noir are cultivated on these steep slopes characterised by mineral Devonian slate soils. The estate practises consistent manual harvesting, avoids mechanical soil cultivation since the 1980s, and maintains a sustainable, resource-efficient approach to viticulture.
