About the estate
The Wein- und Sektgut Josef Reis estate, located in the historic wine village of Mehring along the Mosel, looks back on a family winemaking tradition that has been continued across generations since 1783. Spanning six hectares of vineyards, the family-run winery is managed by Josef and Maria Reis in the traditional growing region. The grape variety portfolio features Riesling as the characteristic regional variety alongside Rivaner, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris. In addition to wine production, the estate operates its own sparkling wine manufactury, producing traditional bottle-fermented sparkling wines. A nature-oriented and environmentally conscious vineyard management combined with gentle grape processing forms the foundation for the estate's modern and expressive products.
