About the estate

The Czech Vinařství Špillar winery looks back on a tradition of more than thirty years in grape processing and is based in the municipality of Hodonice within the Znojmo wine subregion. The estate annually produces quality and predicate wines from both traditional and less conventional grape varieties. The grapes are sourced from growers in the finest vineyard sites of the Moravia wine region. Traditional winemaking methods with minimal intervention in the vinification process are preferred to preserve the typical character of each variety. In 1999, a new cellar facility was built, housing production spaces as well as a wine archive and a wine bank.
