The Vinařství Piálek & Jäger s.r.o. estate is a small winery in Nový Šaldorf-Sedlešovice founded on the friendship of two families, tracing its traditions back to the 13th century. The organically farmed vineyards are located in the Znojmo wine region on the Kraví hora and Načeratický kopec sites with sandy, gravelly soils over ancient igneous bedrock. The cooler inland climate results in a longer growing season, which promotes the development of aromatic grapes. The focus is on grape varieties typical of the region such as Veltlínské zelené, Sauvignon, and Ryzlink rýnský, alongside Chardonnay, Hibernal, and Pálava. The portfolio focuses exclusively on small-batch production of quality attribute wines, including offerings from the VOC Znojmo appellation.
