About the estate

The VINARIJA BIRIN obrt estate based in Vodice looks back on a long family tradition in cultivating Mediterranean crops, with a primary focus on viticulture and olive growing. Spanning two hectares of vineyards planted on red soil mixed with stones, the winery cultivates the indigenous grape varieties Debit and Maraština for whites, alongside Plavina, Lasin and Babić for reds and rosé. Older vines, some over fifty years of age, form part of the family heritage and shape the estate's profile alongside younger plantings. In the underground cellar, the grapes are processed, vinified and aged in oak barrels. The wines originate from the Sjeverna Dalmacija denomination.
