About the estate
The Villa Montepaldi estate is situated in the northern part of the Chianti Classico hills near San Casciano in Val di Pesa and is historically linked to prominent Florentine families. Since 1989, the property has been owned by the University of Florence, which conducts scientific research and experimental activities alongside production. Out of a total area of approximately 308 hectares, around 46 hectares are dedicated to vineyards. Cultivated grape varieties include Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Vermentino. The wines are produced under the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination.
