About the estate
The Vignobles Michel Dietrich estate was established in 1988 by Michel and Isabelle Dietrich in the medieval village of Rions and is now managed by their daughter Pauline and her husband William Lapierre. The winery spans 57 hectares of vineyards spread across five villages, all farmed organically with grapes certified under Demeter standards. The white wines from Entre-Deux-Mers feature rich boulbènes soils and are crafted from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, whereas the red wines from Cadillac - Côtes de Bordeaux grow on clay-limestone and clay-gravel soils using six red grape varieties including Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. To enhance biodiversity, the estate has planted hedgerows, installed bat boxes, and utilized green fertilizers on a large portion of the parcels.
